CHICAGO, IL — A body was found in the Main Branch of the Chicago River downtown at around 8 a.m. on Thursday, according to police. Chicago Fire Department and the police marine unit retrieved the body of an adult man near the 400 block of East River Drive after a witness spotted something in the water and called 911. The identity of the victim isn't known at the time, according to police spokesperson Kellie Bartoli. Detectives are conducting the case as a death investigation.
