THE STAGE presents The 1st Annual National Poetry Month Festival THE STAGE has been a staple in the Spoken Word community for almost two decades. This past year has affected all of us in one way or another, poetry has always been seen as a form of therapy, and expression. And this event is to spotlight the trail blazers in the art’s community, give the voiceless a voice, and inspire young people to be able to express themselves with words. Our headliner is International, Broadway performing, 6x HBO Def Poet, Peabody, and Tony award winning Poet Legendary Black Ice. This event is in conjunction with and in support of the Reggie Dee Foundation. We have partnered with the Reggie Dee Foundation and his mission to bring awareness to many of the things that impact our community. One of his main tenets is to bring “Unity” in the Community. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds directly to the Reggie Dee Foundation. Also, our mission is to provide a safe environment for everyone, and we have incorporated a Covid Compliant Advocacy to format a CDC Compliant Covid Policy for this event.
