Warehouse / Customer Service roles in the Bay Park and Miramar Areas This is a great opportunity if you not only have warehouse experience but also have great customer service skills that you would like to put to use! We have positions available in the Bay Park Area and Miramar Area! These are temporary to permanent opportunities for the right person with this great client! They are 1st shift, Mon - Fri (and some Saturdays), and the starting pay is $15/hour and up depending on your experience and interview. Overview: To assist the Manager in providing the Customers with the best possible buying experience in product delivery and after-sale service. To maximize the safe, efficient flow of product in and out of the warehouse. Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. • Customer service oriented. • To load Customer vehicles with regard to the safety of the Customer and the vehicle. • To load and unload commercial and company trucks with regard to the safety of coworkers and the vehicles. • To keep on the lookout for safety hazards in the warehouse, and report any hazards to the Manager or Supervisor. • Be a team player. To demonstrate a willingness and ability to work within a team environment. • Work cooperatively with others to pull the correct products from stock. Pack and palletize material efficiently and carefully to protect products and minimize breakage. • To pack orders accurately and fill out warehouse paperwork completely. • To sweep warehouse floors, parking lots, and loading areas. Also dismantle shipping bundles and crates and dispose of the debris. • To operate forklift according to safety guidelines. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge skill, and/or ability required: • Warehouse experience is a must (1+ years of recent experience) • Proven customer service experience is essential. • Be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds. • Great communication skills. • Experience working with Slate, Stone, Tiles or Slabs would be beneficial. • While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to feel, and to talk and carry heavy items. The Employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Employee is occasionally required to stand and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Ability to use the four basic functions of a calculator to calculate figures and amounts. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. • While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. • The noise level of this job is usually moderate.
