See below for times and access. Note: All youth-focused virtual programs require a registered Zoom account. Creating an account is free and easy at http://zoom.us/signup. Grab & Go: Kits Grab&Go: Kits are fun and educational activities to do at home. Kits are available in a variety of age ranges throughout the month, including AtoZ and special themed PreK level Kits. Dates that new Kits are available for pickup can be found on our online calendar. Trove Storytimes Ages 2-6, families Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. – April 6, April 13, April 20 Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – April 8 Storytime with Trove Librarians – books, songs and fun! Storybook Dancing with Steffi Nossen School of Dance Ages 2-6, families Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – April 1 A creative, movement-filled program for young ones to hear stories and then dance them to life! April Fools Storytime Children, Families Thursday, 2:00 p.m. – April 1 Listen to foolish stories and sing silly songs. Bilingual Music Time PreK-Grade 2, families Friday, 11:00 a.m. – April 9 Nancy Hershatter presents a fun-filled musical bilingual program. World Art Day Storytime & Author Visit Ages 2-6, families Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – April 15 Celebrate World Art Day with award-winning author Amalia Hoffman's storytime featuring her art-filled book, My Monsterpiece, "A humorous celebration of imagination and creativity that invites kids to create their own monster masterpieces with everyday materials." Turtle Dance Music presents: Autism Awareness Month! A Virtual Music, Bubble and Comedy Show! Children, families, all ages welcome! Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – April 22 There will be bubbles, laughter, dancing, games, incredible visuals, and a story written and illustrated by Mr. Matt's brother-in-law Tim who is on the Autism Spectrum. Kids will dance, sing, laugh, use their imaginations and connect with new friends. The show is crafted to be inclusive for all children, including children on the Autism Spectrum, and a great time for parents and caregivers! Each song in the show is accompanied by hands-on, visual, and sensory experiences designed to help kids learn and have fun at the same time. TaleWise presents: Earth Day: Revenge of the Toxic Robot Grades K-8 Thursday, 3:30 p.m. – April 22 When the town's park is suddenly gated and locked, a group of friends decides to investigate. Their adventure leads them deep into the woods, where they are chased away by an eccentric robot powered by toxic sludge! Join the gang on their quest to clean up the act of a despicable polluter and save their park from being destroyed. Along the way, you'll learn all about reducing waste and recycling, reusing everyday products around you, and how pollution affects the environment. You can make a difference in protecting our planet! Rock out with Spencer! Ages 2-6, families Friday, 11:00 a.m. – April 23 Spencer will get you dancing, moving, laughing, clapping, stomping and rocking out! Move & Groove with Miss Jolie Ages 1-6, families Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. – April 27 Miss Jolie's Move & Groove program infuses learning and movement with music, stories, and lots of silliness! She brings a twist to classic children's music in addition to engaging children with original interactive songs. Singing, dancing, clapping, snapping, and stomping are highly encouraged! Miss Jolie performs with her ukulele along with other musical instruments and props for the children. Many of these programs are supported by the White Plains Library Foundation.
