Description
Location: Eugene, Oregon This position must follow regulatory, Oregon Tilth regulations, Safety regulations, and GMP compliance at all times. Supervised by: Facilities Coordinator and Facilities Director General Description: This is a full time position. The maintenance and custodial staff member is responsible for not only common custodial tasks assigned but also assisting with the general maintenance and upkeep of the MRH complex of buildings, as well as special projects that arise. Finishing and/or ensuring that tasks on the cleaning logs are thoroughly completed within the designated time frame. Recycling and waste removal for the entire company while keeping within and surpassing the requirements of Oregon Tilth and any other state or federal agencies. Wage starting at $15.00+ per hour DOE Knowledge Skills and abilities required: -Must effectively communicate in an effective and timely manner with the Facilities Coordinator as well as other staff/departments as needed, directed and when issues arise. -Possess the ability to follow instructions and work well with others in a team orientated environment as well as work independently with little direct oversight. -Position requires the ability to "shift gears" at a moment's notice and have a professional demeanor. -Excellent and efficient janitorial skills including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and dusting. -Maintaining the ability to clean a department thoroughly in a timely manner -Efficiency: superior organization skills. -Ability to use a variety of cleaning apparatus. -Must be able to communicate effectively with multiple departments and department heads to meet the needs in the moment as well as longer term projects. -Must either be a Master Recycler or able/willing to complete the required training and courses. -Must possess a valid Oregon Drivers License Essential Functions: 1.Dependability: is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback for improved performance. 2.Following all MRH procedures and protocols 3.Maintaining daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly responsibilities including many tasks all of which are outlined on the cleaning logs. 4.Keeping accurate and current cleaning logs and ensuring that all tasks are completed in compliance with all governing regulations 5.Recycling: ensure that all recyclable materials move through to their assigned receptacles with minimal accumulation. 6.Stocking and maintaining departments with paper products and cleaning supplies as necessary. 7.Respond to any problems, spills and/or hazardous material incidents/accidents within the facilities. 8.Possess knowledge and skills of basic construction (framing/drywall) and/or other specific skills that can be utilized for essential facility maintenance and repairs. 9.Ability to drive company vehicles to other MRH sites and other locations to complete assigned tasks. 10.Ability to be trained on PIT (fork lifts and other heavier equipment) and use said equipment as needed/directed. 11.Assist the Facilities Coordinator with any other tasks/projects as assigned. 12.Other Duties as assigned Physical Requirements Include but are not limited to: -Working in a fast paced environment containing dust and known hazards such as essential oil spills -Heavy Lifting may be required, up to 75 lbs, as well as moving heavy and/or large/bulky materials associated with the cleaning and other duties for the facilities. -Must be able to perform the physical twisting, stooping, bending at knees, bending at the waist, etc related with essential custodial duties -Must be able to be on one's feet most of the day as well as up and down stairs, walking between buildings, etc -Exposure to herb dust -Exposure to strong aromatics A more thorough Job Description is available on our website.
