Do they show objects as they really look and how they are made? In a special all-live presentation, UAA Astronomer Travis Rector answers all these questions and more. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Rector has been privileged to make more than 200 color pictures with some of the world's largest and most powerful telescopes, including those at Kitt Peak National Observatory, Gemini Observatory, and even the Hubble Space Telescope. He will share a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to use these telescopes, and how pictures are made from the images they collect.
