American Crematory Equipment Company is a full service operation currently interviewing for a field service technician to provide service to our customer’s across the United States. Overview: We are a fast growing company seeking a qualified field service technician for service of existing cremation equipment of all makes and models. This position will require travel throughout the country. This includes overnight travel on a weekly basis (up to 2 weeks at a time max) Hours vary by job with possibility of overtime. Employee will be eligible for full benefits. Candidate must be flexible. Candidate must be highly dependable, have a good work ethic, excellent problem solving skills, enjoys working independently, and be willing to learn all aspects of the industry and position. This will be a 90-day probationary training period. Primary Job Functions: • Performing preventative maintenance inspection & calibrations • Manufacturing/welding of misc. tools and parts • Discuss future repair work and equipment concerns with customers • Knowledge of refractory is a beneficial but not required The ideal candidate will possess: • Cremation and cremation industry knowledge • Brick laying/concrete finishing experience- not required • Electrical knowledge/experience • Plumbing knowledge/experience • Strong customer service background • Job goal planning and execution to stay on schedule • Positive/optimistic attitude • Strong ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with co-workers and customers • Detailed documentation skills • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. • Physical ability to repeatedly lift 60 pounds- not required • Physical ability to frequently kneel, crouch, stand, walk and crawl in tight spaces • Ability to work in areas which may not be temperature controlled (heated or cooled) Wage & Benefits: Highly Competitive hourly wage and pay scale.
