33/m drummer, just moved down from the PNW. Wide range, not a pro but very comfortable behind the kit in different genres, still a student of percussion. Hoping to play something heavy and fast, but also all about the clean channels and stacked reverbs/delayed out sections where we as listeners are somewhere between Mars and Saturn. Last project was instrumental surf rock, so I'm flex if the vibe and people are right. I have some interested sample pads to fuck with too, if we wanna get weird. Esoterically influenced, I simultaneously take music seriously and laugh at the absurdity of my hopes to transmit the word of God through complex 7 strings and double bass sections. holla holla holla, holla holla. In my rotation now- Tool, meshuggah, gojira, thornhill, intronaut, mastadon, opeth, earth, primus, deftones, puscifer... cleaner/easier- tycho, blockhead, techno in general, ashra, king crimson, max cooper, amon tobin, radiohead I currently live in Oxnard Shores, working in Westlake Village, and may have a rehearsal spot lined up near Canoga Park in a month or two at most. I have kits, transportation and a guitar rig (can mayyybe play guitar 2 for some groups), as well as recording equipment. Would be free to play weekdays after 6 or anytime on weekends.
