We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks for our restaurant in East Hampton. Perfect for mature individual looking to better balance work/life balance or career-minded individual looking to grow with our company. Moby’s is located in an old farmhouse building with an expansive outdoor property. Requirements: Complete repair orders in a timely fashion Estimate time and extent of repairs Perform routine preventive maintenance Maintain material and supply inventory Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary Maintenance skills (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting) required Knowledge of restaurant kitchen equipment: Refrigerators, Freezers, Hoods, Coffee machines a huge plus Maintain outside appearance of property including but not limited to: landscaping maintenence, adjusting and replacing string lights, keep parking lots and driveway of restaurant clean, keep storage closet organized and accessible when not on property to allow for quick fixes if needed Develop short and long term facilities objectives that are in line with the company core values of commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and fanatical attention to detail. Optimize internal facility management through education of restaurant maintenance personnel in restaurant level activities Ensure execution of facilities maintenance program to guarantee restaurant is always functioning by leading and educating management teams to optimize internal facility management and conducting regular walkthroughs and quarterly audits. Ability to prioritize, manage time, and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under pressure. Identify and qualify all vendors through formal bidding and keep a close eye on costing. Qualifications: 3+ years of construction management or project management within the hospitality industry preferred. Previous experience in facilities maintenance or handyman Own basic set of tools Ability to handle physical workload and lifting 50+ pounds Proficient computer skills (email, web, Word and Excel). Deadline and detail-oriented Bilingual a plus Understands day to day operations of restaurant Part-time to start with potential to be full-time in high season
