DRIVER/MATERIAL HANDLER The Driver/Material Handler is responsible for the movement of materials and relevant documents to/from Sacramento and Bay Area customers/vendors. This position is also responsible for movement of material and inventory on site. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Utilize company vehicles to pick up and deliver requested items between company and customers/vendors in the Greater Sacramento Area. Utilize company vehicles to drive to the Bay Area 1-2 times a week to deliver and/or pick up requested items. Ensure items are packaged and secured properly for transport. Ensure required documentation accompanies all requested items and delivered to appropriate personnel/vendors. Move material within and outside of warehouse as requested to organize storage and other areas. Assist Shipping personnel in cleaning, prepping and packaging inventory for shipment. Assist Receiving personnel in verifying contents and quantity of incoming packages. Assist Operations personnel in locating lost and/or missing paperwork/inventory. Maintain a clean work area. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills. Ability to interact effectively and positively with peers and supervisors. Ability to adhere to workplace rules. Requires high School education or equivalent Valid Driver’s License WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office and/or Manufacturing environments. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. OTHER: Company will conduct background check and driving record check. Prefer Full-Time employee, but Part-Time will be considered.
