Peterson Meadows - 6401 Newburg Rd Summary: Qualified candidates will be assisting with renovating homes and apartments to include painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. Daily duties include work request, event setups. and a preventative maintenance program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform basic electrical repairs; GFI replacement, outlet replacement, switches replacement, and basic troubleshooting. • Performs basic plumbing repair; repair/replace sink and shower faucets, repair/replace toilets, repair/replace sink drains, and basic troubleshooting. • Maintain and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment; replace filters, Aprilaire elements, thermostats (air and electrical), and air handler belts. • Perform minor drywall repairs and painting. • Maintains a safe and productive work environment. • Assists with resident relation program; handle all resident concerns promptly. Keep the Director of Facilities and Grounds informed of all resident issues. • Completes all special assignments/projects as required by the Director of Facilities and Grounds. Some college or technical preparation preferred. • Knowledge of heating and cooling systems. • Must have the ability to anticipate and/or troubleshoot problems. • Must have general knowledge of simple equipment used in the building trades. Physical Requirements: • Must have the ability to stand and walk for 6-7 hours of an 8 hour shift. • Must have the ability to occasionally climb stairs, stools and ladders. • Must have the ability to frequently stoop, bend and kneel. • Must have the ability to reach in front, sides and overhead. • Must have the ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds while walking or bending at the waist and knees. • Must have the ability to frequently push, pull, or move carts and equipment exerting a force of 50 to 75 pounds. • Must have the ability to use wrists, fingers, and hands for repetitive firm grasping and usage of hand tools.
