Companion/ Personal Care Assistant (non-medical)– Columbia, MD Male with physical disability in wheelchair looking for personal assistant to help with a variety of home and work-related tasks. Need help with personal care/grooming (no bathing or dressing) preparing meals, running errands, shopping, laundry, light housekeeping, assisting with clerical related duties as needed for work, willing to drive my wheelchair van, pet care -walking dog (small shih tzu), accompany/driving me on outings, helping me with art and music projects (my interests). I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor currently working from home. Looking for friendly, honest, reliable, and responsible personal assistant. Full-time position, 40 hours/week. I have another part time position available on weekends. Salary ranging from $18.00 - 20.00 per hour to start. Salary paid through Department of Disability Administration. Paid time off. The ideal candidate will: Be at least 21 years old; speak proficient English have proof of valid driver’s license and have a good driving record. Candidate should have current CPR and First Aid certification. I am fully Covid-19 vaccinated and prefer someone who is also vaccinated. Will reimburse for this. Candidate must have excellent references and agree to background check.
