Warehouse Worker – Fish processing room NorthStar Seafoods, Inc., is looking for a motivated self-starter to join our growing business in Airway Heights WA. We supply the highest-quality seafood and protein to restaurants, casinos, hotels, caterers and grocers throughout the Inland Northwest including Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Pasco, Kennewick and Richland. As the region’s only seafood distributor that processes our fish locally, we can quickly offer fresher products to our customers. Our service and flexibility to meet our customer’s needs is second to none. General Responsibilities Include: Hand deboning of fish (pin-boning). No experienced necessary. On the job training provided. Accurately receive all product into the cooler/freezer following HACCP guidelines Store and rotate stock in the cooler and freezer Pick product daily to fulfill customer orders Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product Perform other duties as required. *Preferred but not necessary—Knife skills are a bonus. Prior experience of cutting fish or meat. Requirements: Fully committed enthusiastic personality with a positive attitude Ability to think and communicate clearly and execute consistently Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision Must have solid skills in working with numbers and basic math skills Knowledge of seafood and meats is helpful At least 18 years of age Valid Driver’s license--Clean Driving Record required Occasional delivery of product to our customers with box truck, van, manual transmission Operate a pallet jack and/or forklift. Working Environment Frequently lift product that weighs 40-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds (with help); frequently reach overhead; constantly bend and twist while stocking/picking product; operate a pallet jack and/or forklift.
