adult chihuahua (9-10 years old) needs new home. he doesn’t get along with my cats and needs to be crated when i’m not home. he is crate trained. he doesn’t bark and is house trained. up to date on shots, heart worm negative. he would be happier if he wasn’t crated so much. he’s also peepee pad trained but i always let him out...his former owner had him peepee pad trained. he does not get along with other dogs. he would do best with a family that is home all the time and has no other pets or has cats and is willing to supervise him when they interact. he is skiddish around new people. he warms up very quickly. he seems to have a slight preference towards women but again after 48 hours around someone he adjusts and is comfortable. he will nip or growl if he is forced to interact with someone he does not know. he’d probably be best in a kid-free household or one with older kids. i’m back to working in the office so i don’t have the time to work with him that he needs. therefore i’d like to find him a new home ASAP. rehoming fee of $100. he will come with his crate, food, leash, a dog hoodie (he gets cold) and a few peepee pads. he doesn’t get along with other dogs, per the former owner/shelter. he’d do best as an only pet or with cats - as long as you have the time to supervise him whenever he’s around cats for the first few weeks-months. he lunges and growls at mine and when redirected/told “no” he gets upset and runs in his crate to hide. please send an email for pictures and more information. thanks. would like to see him find his family without having to go back to the shelter as he was very stressed there. if no suitable people reply i will be returning him to the shelter (next weekend 4/3). i would like to avoid that if at all possible so that he can spend less time “jailed” and more time roaming free in a home. vet reference required. meets only in person for adoption (due to covid) but willing to do virtual meet and greet or work something out!
