Very experienced singer/songwriter/guitarist/multi-instrumentalist seeks backing band for serious project in the near future. Influences including but are not limited to Coldplay, Ours, Radiohead, Taylor Swift, Jason Isbell, Ben Harper, Jospeh Arthur, Cake, Winekta Bowling League, The Head & The Heart, Dua Lipa, Lord Huron, Michael Jackson and Barak Obama.... On the cusp of signing major distribution/publishing deal and need professionals to play out with when the occasion calls for it. Music is a hybrid of pop, rock, folk, indie, radio friendly, lyrically deep - please be open minded. Lush harmonies and group choruses require that most of the band sing professional harmonies. Seeking guitar player: don’t need to be a “shredder”; more of a textural player.. think Coldplay, Radiohead. MUST sing perfect harmonies. Bass: nothing complex, but playing simple and in the pocket is not easy (as any real player knows). MUST sing perfect harmonies. Keys: don’t need a technical wizard, but someone who is proficient in organ, piano, EDM and midi/sequencing. Will need to control tracks live via laptop to fill in gaps and make it sound like the records. MUST sing perfect harmonies. Multi- instrumentalist/3rd guitarist would be helpful but not necessary. Drums: Must be a time machine with a pocket. My new tracks don’t require virtuosity, but MUST be a killer, pocket player that is EXTREMELY comfortable playing to a click and to tracks. Knowledge and gear for triggering and samples. Harmony vox a plus but not required. Admittedly, I am 10 years removed from the scene, and age, gender, orientation and race are of no consequence... but please don’t tell me the last time you played was in 1995 when you opened for Live. Pro gear, stage presence, and a desire to play great tunes a MUST. No mercenaries please. If you’re not into the tracks, then this is not for you. Serious inquiries only. This will not be a very time consuming commitment for a professional player, but it has the potential to lead to a very good, long term, lucrative situation.
