As the State Council of SEIU unions representing health care, higher education, public sector and private building services workers in Massachusetts, the COVID-19 pandemic has become part of daily life for SEIU members. With the vaccine finally released to essential workers, we are here to provide information on its safety and effectiveness from the physicians and health experts working directly on its implementation. The only way that the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccine will be truly effective is an inter-sectional approach. Communities of color have been the hardest hit by this pandemic. What are public health experts doing to reach out to our diverse communities and make sure we address inequity in our health systems?
