Description
My daughter tried to get us a young dog to help with the loneliness of our dog of 14 years passing away recently. She was told this dog was house trained, knew commands and was good with kids. That he liked to be a lap dog as opposed to running around a lot, but occasionally likes being outside. She paid the owners $50 for him and his things.
However, nothing seems to hold true except that he is very sweet. He has the cutest face and loves attention. But he has picked a fight with our other dog, who is a wolf hybrid three times his size. He's gone to the bathroom so many times inside, even with being taken out regularly. He had a huge yard to run in but refuses to get along with our other, much older, dog. He pulls so hard when we walk him and all three of us in this house are senior citizens, myself with chronic back pain from incorrect surgery. He's far too rough for us. He's just rowdy and excitable because he's still young. Nonetheless.
Where we were going to wait this out and be patient, tonight he growled quite aggressively at my young grandson, despite them playing just fine up until then. And showing aggression to a toddler just cannot do in our home. He was going to be an inside/outside pet but we can't tolerate or take chances with this one.
Only asking what my daughter paid for him, as she'll be the one to handle meeting with the dog. But if nobody offers by tomorrow morning, he must go to the animal shelter.
He's is roughly 1 year old from what we were told.
