Old school metal /thrash/newer metal

Hi, this putting my feelers out there to see if they're are any like minded musicians like myself. I am a drummer and have been playing for many years now, I even spent a little over a decade playing semi professionally in a somewhat successful modern rock/metal band. I grew up listening to all types of music but spent my adolescence listening to alot of old school metal, like Anthrax, Metallica. nuclear assault, megadeth, slayer, overkill etc. I've always wanted to jam and cover some of these bands but never really got the chance, and I'd like to try as well as cover new stuff, like sevendust, godsmack, chevelle, etc.. the main thing is to have fun with it. I miss getting together with people with real instruments and hashing shit out.. maybe even write somethings. I have good gear to play and the will power and drive to give it a shot. So I'm wondering, is there any others out there that may be down to try this with me. I'm looking for guitar players, bass player, singer etc. If this seems interesting to you.
