FORBIDDEN ART by Ahmed Alawfi is showcasing the beauty of eastern cultures and expression of who he is. Ahmed Alawfi created FORBIDDEN ART to tell the story of growing up in Saudi Arabia where drawing portraits is considered a sin. His inspiration is showcasing the beauty of eastern cultures where he reflects on fear, creativity, inspiration and expression. ALEX THEATER ART GALLERY located on LEVEL 2 of the Metropolitan at the 9 is honored to have the collection and on the 15th of May please join us for an art opening where you can see the collection up close, view an artist reel in ALEX THEATER and have a chance to meet Ahmed.
