Seeking knowledge, balance and support in the birthing process.
Suzanne Castro-Miller has been interested in natural eating, wholistic medicine, and yoga since the late 70s. During her pregnancy with her first child she combined her natural living approaches with a desire for natural birth. When that birth ended in a C-section, she began to dig deeply into all the aspects of empowered birth for both the mother and the child. Since then she has been a member and student of Spinning Babies, Evidence Based Birth, Childbirth International, Pre-natal yoga, herbal remedies and homeopathy and acupressure.
Ten years ago she answered the call to become a childbirth educator and birth doula by combining her studies with her personal experience with a c-section, a hospital birth, homebirths, miscarriages, and a stillborn as an advocate for women seeking knowledge, balance and support in the birthing process.
In her spare time, Suzanne revives and beautifies a historic house and gardens on a farm with her husband, five children (who have all since gone off to college and careers ) and other animals, wild and domestic!
