ASK/NEED ASAP: LARGE CAGES FOR SMALL ANIMALS FREE OR EXTREMELY CHEAP!! So... it's been a day, to say the least. Some of you guys that are familiar with my nonprofit rescue and/or my pet sitting business are aware that all my rescue expenses come out of my own pocket... but most don't realize that I'm honestly extremely lucky to even talk owners into donating supplies with animals, let alone get any kind of standalone donations (literally nothing in over a year, going on two, since I got the last $30 donation from someone... the other house that's supposed to be the actual rescue location had pipes freeze and break, was burglarized for like $40k +/- worth of stuff, and was even on the news begging for help but only got a $20 donation from someone, & ended up condemned over minor stuff... it's THAT hard to get help!! So support local small animal rescues you guys!) ANYHOW... the chinchillas managed to bounce, chew, & thrash their last remaining cages into unsalvageable pieces earlier, then a few minutes ago when my son was trying to empty the pan for one of the big rabbit cages, he somehow tripped on it and split it all the way down the side and almost in half... 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ On top of that I have someone needing me to take more bunnies as an emergency rescue from a hoarder type situation, and all I have left in storage for cages is a pet store type hamster cage that *might* actually be suitable for like a cricket or something, and rusty dilapidated dog crates that people have dumped animals on my porch in, that I could never bring myself to put these helpless living things back into. 🥲😭 TL;DR- I need large cages for small animals (think rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, etc.) ASAP. If you have anything lying around unused & unwanted from a previous pet, I'd be so incredibly grateful for the help!! 💖💖
