Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Lumber Retail Associate / Office Administrator is responsible for all aspects of lumber sales including customer inquiries, confirming product availability, and order taking. Lumber Retail Associate / Office Administrator works both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to inclement weather, including hot and cold temperatures. This position works under close supervision and must work closely with Yard Foreman, Management, and Retail Customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Assist customers at the counter, via phone, and email 2) Confirm stock and availability 3) Project pricing and order processing 4) Effectively quote, place, and process orders. 5) Proactively track orders and confirm processing accuracy 6) Processing payments. 7) Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services Other Essential Office Administration Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Perform clerical/administrative duties as assigned to support the office, including front-office duties and customer/guest relations. 2) Assist with front lobby housekeeping – organizing and sanitizing after in-person customers. 3) Retrieve and process outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries as needed 4) Assist with processing of hard copy files and document close-outs 5) Provide clerical support to various departments within the organization 6) Perform other tasks as assigned by management Skills: 1) Consistently at work and on time 2) Possess good verbal and written communication skills 3) Respond promptly to customer and staff requests for service and assistance 4) Basic math skills and reasoning skills 5) Detail oriented 6) Positive and professional demeanor 7) Proficient in Microsoft Work & Excel 8) Experience in construction is a plus 9) Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Schedule & Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Some Saturdays may be required This is NOT a “Work Remotely” position Salary: TBD - This is an Hourly – NON-EXEMPT Benefits: Medical Sick Pay Vacation Pay 401(k) COVID-19 Precaution(s) 1) Personal protective equipment provided and required 2) Plastic shield at work station 3) Social distancing guidelines in place 4) Sanitizing, disinfecting, and cleaning procedure in place.
