Description
I am looking to hire one chore relief person for my specialty pasture-based poultry farm. Shifts are 5-6 hours with a flexible start time, Saturday or Sunday with the potential for additional days. Pay is $12/hr plus duck and/or quail eggs. Located near downtown Snohomish. Start date in April.
Daily Tasks:
Feeding and watering of duck flock
Coop cleaning of duck flock
Feeding and watering of quail flock
Egg collection, washing, and packaging
Requirements:
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds over uneven terrain
Have own form of reliable transportation
Ability to work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, high heat, and occasional wildfire smoke
Compassion for animals and interest in sustainable small-scale agriculture
18 years of age or older
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Prefer:
Experience working with poultry is a plus but willing to train the right person. Someone who is local is ideal but willing to consider folks who are able to drive from further away. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to get experience in regenerative, livestock-based agriculture but isn’t able to commit to a fulltime job or internship.
If interested, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you would be a good fit for this position to: [email protected]
