The Basics- Three day comic book making workshop
Click the June date and select the ticket for the three day MWF 1-4 session you prefer. Ages 6-14.
Day 1: Drawing from basic shapes, lettering and emotions in word.
Day 2: Character & Story development, Editing and Critiques
Day 3: Constructing a 5-10 pgs comic book
All supplies are included (handouts, tracing paper, comic book templates and a variety of art supplies, personalized portfolios)
Snacks and drinks included and tailored to allergies.
Hosted by Rachel Dziga, a published cartoonist and graphic novel creator, she believes comics can shape a lifetime love for reading and creative expression. She received her B.S. in Biochemistry at UALR in Little Rock, AR and her M.F.A in Interdisciplinary Art at SACI in Florence, Italy.
We are back and ready to get creating after canceling our 2020 summer workshops due to COVID-19. To keep things safe, we are implementing a stricter cleaning policy, smaller class size of only five, plus teacher is vaccinated.
100% inclusive of all kids no matter whatever type of disabilities. Parents are free to participate or stay if needed. Zero tolerance for bullying.
