I have been teaching piano, guitar, bass, and drum lessons for 15 years. I studied music theory and composition at College of Charleston and have taught students of all ages, styles and skill levels. I love helping students acquire basic ear training and theory knowledge so that they can become fluent in the language of music. My lessons are tailored to the intentions and interests of each student rather than relying on standardized books. I have extensive experience as a professional studio and touring musician. I can teach a wide variety of styles, and I know how to keep it fun! If you are interested in learning to read sheet music and study classical theory, I can help; if you would rather just rock out, we can keep it simple while still attaining excellence. I teach kids 6+. I drive most places within 20 miles of downtown Asheville. Tuition is $35 for a half hour lesson. You can also pre-pay 10 lessons and get $25 off.
