Description

SALEM, MA — Salem Public Schools is looking for input and planning help for programs it hopes to offer through a state grant proposal to benefit the Bentley Innovation School. The 21st Century Community Learning Center proposal, due on April 16, is for grant money through the state's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to provide free after-school and summer programs. The Salem YMCA will partner with the district in the grant proposal. Anyone interested in having input into the planning, or who wants to get on a stakeholder list to get information about upcoming summer and fall programs, should contact Emily Ullman, Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships at [email protected]. The district said it expects to be notified if the grant bid is successful by early June. Did you find this article useful? Invite a friend to subscribe to Patch.
