MELROSE, MA — Caffe Nero is eyeing a mid-April opening, according to the coffeeshop's project manager.
Katrina Sloan told city councilors the date is "not set in stone," but April 12 is the plan as of Monday night. Sloan was appearing before the Protection and License Committee as part of Nero's application for a common victualler license.
Sloan also said Nero will be able to seat about 90 people when social distancing measures relax. The store is looking at installing plexiglass partitions between seating pending local approval.
Nero will also have an indoor fireplace, Sloan said.
