WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Board of Education this week approved the district's academic calendar for the 2021-22 school year. The first day of school for students will be Aug. 30 and the projected last day of school is June 9. "The first eight days lost to school closings will be made up at the end of school year," according to the district's website. "Any days beyond eight will be made up at the beginning of the spring vacation, starting with April 11. In the event of more than 12 days, or a school closure after spring vacation, the BOE determines the last day of school." In the event the Connecticut State Department of Education authorizes districts to implement Virtual Snow Days, Wallingford will have one traditional snow day and the remaining snow days will be virtual snow days. The approved calendar has 183 student days and 188 teacher days.
