HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A mass vaccination site is slated to open in Harford County by the end of April, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced Tuesday at a news conference. He did not identify the site. Harford County Executive Barry Glassman thanked the governor for his support. "I appreciate Gov. Hogan and the state health department recognizing the need for a mass vaccination site in Harford County to serve northeastern Maryland," Glassman said Tuesday in a statement. "I look forward to being a partner in this effort along with our local health department once the state finalizes a location." Glassman, Harford County Health Officer Dr. David Bishai and the County Council sent a letter to the state's health secretary requesting the designation of Ripken Stadium as a mass vaccination site. It is unclear whether that will be the location. Ripken Stadium served over the summer as a mass coronavirus testing site.
