Description
General Overview:
A laborer is responsible for physical labor on construction sites. Laborers are responsible for preparing sites by cleaning them, loading or unloading materials, and removing hazards and debris. A laborer may also run some types of equipment.
Duties:
• Active participation and execution of Quiring’s Safety Program to maintain a healthy and injury-free work
environment.
• Participation in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.
• Sweeping and other activities necessary to maintain a clean jobsite
• Digging, spreading and leveling dirt and gravel, using pick and shovel
• Lifting, carrying and holding building materials, tools and supplies
• Inspect tools and equipment daily for any issues
• Participate in pre-task planning and toolbox talks
• Adheres to safety protocols while using tools and while on the jobsite
• Reports on safe working conditions to superintendent
• Completes timecard daily and submits them weekly to jobsite or yard manager
• Cleaning tools, equipment, materials and work areas
• Organization of inventory of tools and notifies supervisor of tools needed for the job
• Performs a variety of routine, machine and non-machine tasks such as demolishing walls and ceilings, sawing
lumber and dismantling forms.
• Follow instructions from supervisors
• Ready to learn from on the job training

Qualifications:
• Minimum Experience as a general laborer in the construction field
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
• Ability to work in all weather
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
• A strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude.
• Ability to create and support team morale.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Must possess valid California driver’s license.
