An annual 10k Road Race in beautiful Middletown, Rhode Island that benefits the Norman Bird Sanctuary. Registration is now open for the 2021 Aquidneck 10k scheduled for an in-person race on Sunday, November 14th. We are increasingly optimistic that this summer and fall will mark a return to in-person road races. We look forward to hosting a limited capacity field of runners while adhering to strict COVID-19 protocols/guidelines to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and the community. Sign up early to secure your spot in this limited capacity race. 2021-2022 Registration PoliciesGray Matter Marketing is a small business dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle with charitably focused events that highlight the communities we are grateful to call hosts cities. The pandemic has had a devastating impact on our business. We have had to update our registration policies to reflect today’s uncertain and challenging times. These policies represent the most flexible and fair model we can offer in these unprecedented times. We understand the long hours and financial commitments that go into participating in our events and share the disappointment in any postponement or cancellation. We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenging times and plan for sunnier days together out on the race course. Refund PolicyWe are not able to offer refunds. However, we have added a race credit option to our existing deferral and transfer policies. TransfersRegistrants may transfer their entry to another individual at any point up to 14 days prior to the event. A request must be sent by the runner who purchased the registration with the name, address, email, gender and date of birth of the runner taking their place to [email protected]. Deferrals and CreditsIf you wish to participate in another Gray Matter Marketing event in 2021 or 2022 other than the event you are currently registered, please request an event credit and an available balance will be applied to your Eventbrite account. You only will be able to use the available balance toward events on the GMM calendar thru 2022, and not until the registration for those events is opened To request a deferral or event credit please email [email protected] with your full name, email you used to register for the event, and the event name — and we will issue an event credit for the value of your entry. Event credits must be requested no later than 14 days prior to the event you are currently registered for. For more information on our policies and event credits: Event Credits Extreme Weather PolicyOur events are held rain or shine. However, there is always the potential for extreme or severe weather conditions. Race organizers will do as much as we can to ensure the experience is as safe as possible. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a short delay, if conditions persist, or the forecast calls for extreme weather, race officials reserve the right to alter or cancel the race. We do not schedule "rain dates". Any decision to cancel an event is done as an absolute last resort and is made collectively with local risk management, police, fire & rescue, and medical personnel as appropriate. In such situations, there will be NO REFUNDS as registrants accept any such risk of their entry free when signing up.
