Shameless James, Divine Mind & Alien Funk Academy! UGA’s Sustainability Certificate Program & Aubrey Entertainment present! ALL AGES Shameless James Divine Mind, Alien Funk Academy Earth Day celebration fundraising concert at Southern Brewing Co in Athens, Georgia! This Earth Day celebration, hosted at Southern Brewing Company, will be a three band non-profit concert, while promoting ideals of sustainability within consumer and producer behaviors. Shameless James, Divine Mind and Alien Funk Academy come together with the University of Georgia’s Sustainability Certificate Program and Aubrey Entertainment to create a night of socially distanced performances, as we also celebrate Earth Day! Come join us Thursday, April 22nd to enjoy local Athens music, food, and beer! Shameless James is a psychedelic rock band based in Athens, Georgia. After several iterations, the band’s current lineup has cemented itself as an experimental creative outlet, combining influences from a wide array of musical palettes. The band currently consists of Mackenzie Brown (Guitar/Vocals), Zac Connely (Bass), Dallas Wiggins (Drums), and Zach Tellano (Keys/Guitar), and they have played the likes of The 40 Watt Club, Caledonia Lounge, and Nowhere Bar. Divine Mind is a 4-piece band from Athens, GA that combines groovy tunes with a rock overtone. Their main influences range from funk, blues to psychedelic rock. The group consists of Chase Gailey on vocals/bass, Sebastian Wong on lead guitar, Allen Camps on rhythm guitar, and Alex Bower on vocals/drums. Every band member has different roots in terms of their playing style, and all together they create a sound unlike most traditional rock bands. This is the basis for every show Divine Mind plays, which is to provide a unique experience for the listener as improvisation is a strong suit of the band's play style. Their up-tempo sound combined with soaring vocals will have you groovin' all night long. Alien Funk Academy is a mildly danceable funk trio from Athens, Georgia featuring Zac Connely on bass guitar and lead vocals, Bradley Reeves on guitar, and Matt Megginson on drums.
