Description
ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park mayoral candidates Keith Pekau and Dan McLaughlin will talk about their vision for the future of Orland Park in another debate on Thursday, hosted at the Orland Park Public Library at 7 p.m.
The two candidates talked all things Orland Park at a Tuesday evening debate hosted by Richard Free Press. The debate can be seen below:
Thursday's debate will be set up differently, according to the Pekau backed People Over Politics party, which is hosting the event. McLaughlin— backed by the One Orland Party — and Pekau, will both be given two minutes for an opening statement, where the order is determined based on a coin toss. Both candidates will choose seven attendees, and these attendees will write up to two questions on a card for the candidates.
The debate will be live-streamed to the public. Those not invited are asked not to attend. The library also said it doesn't take a position on the Orland Park mayoral candidates. Those who attend the debate are told to follow mask wearing and social distancing guidelines, as those who don't follow the library's policies will be asked to leave.
