(Does not include Range fee of $15) • Register at: • Email registrations are accepted. o Send email to [email protected] • Participant must be 16 years of age or older. o Anyone under the age of 18 must come with a Guardian. • Participants must be on site by 8am to facilitate scheduling of the matches and sign in. o Competition will begin at 9am. Safety Eye and ear protection is always mandatory during the competition for anyone. All participants accept that shooting steel targets are close range poses an enhanced risk of bullet fragments ricocheting and contacting anyone in the shooting bay. All range safety rules apply. All match safety rules apply. Participants can be disqualified for unsafe practices at the discretion of CGSSA volunteer staff. All participants will always have unloaded firearms unless they are on the firing line The tree will be at 10 yards and shooters will go head-to-head on the tree. Pistol and Ammunition To enter you must have a “Stock” 22lr (long rifle) Pistol only. 22 Long Rifle Pistol and Ammunition Only. • No optics (including laser sights). • No compensators or threaded muzzle device. • No addon parts. • Holsters and magazine carriers are not required but are permitted. CGSSA volunteer staff will officiate all matches. Full rules below. Dueling Tree Rules • Standard double elimination tournament, each participant must lose twice to be disqualified. • Participants can be disqualified for unsafe practices at the discretion of CGSSA volunteer staff. • All participants will always have unloaded firearms unless they are on the firing line and have been given the command to “load and make ready”. • Prior to beginning the match staff will call “line ready” • If a participant is not ready when “line ready” is called it is the responsibility of the participant to safely make the staff aware that they need additional time • Staff will give the command “fire” to begin the match. • Participants may begin each match with three magazines loaded with no more than 24 total rounds. • Participants begin at the low ready with hands on their handgun and in their lane. • There are no alibis, if the participant experiences a malfunction, they can either clear it safely and continue or concede the match. • The match is concluded when one side of the dueling tree is completely cleared or both shooters are out of ammunition or time. • The match is over when it is called by CGSSA volunteer staff. • Staff will call either “winner left” or “winner right” to designate the end of the match. • There will be no appeals, the staff member officiating the match has final say regarding the outcome. • Winner at the conclusion of the double elimination tournament will receive the first prize.
