Help Keep Nature Wild at South Mountain! The Cleanup:Join Keep Nature Wild at South Mountain for another awesome cleanup event at South Mountain! This is an extremely popular recreation spot and is in need of some love. We will be meeting at the parking lot by the Activity Center and cleaning in and around the Activity Center, the trailheads, and Scorpion Gulch. Look for the KNW Cleanup signs and tent. ** DO NOT USE APPLE MAPS!! Use Google Maps for the most accurate directions. Who: Everyone. Bring friends, family, pets (on a leash, and only if friendly), and more friends (only if they are friendly too :)! What: Trash cleanup along trails and washes in South Mountain Park When: 5/22/2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Where: South Mountain Park. Click on location for exact details and parking directions. Gloves, bags, water, and goodies will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle and stay hydrated. Stuff to Know1. Wear outdoor appropriate attire and your Keep Nature Wild gear is always a plus :). Shoes/boots and long pants are always recommended as well as a hat or some form of shade. 2. Parking: Look for the KNW signs and turn left at the Activity Center 3. We will provide bags, gloves, and MASKS. Feel free to bring trash grabbers and buckets in lieu of bags 4. You don't need any sort of pass or permit for this event 5. Cleanup events are inherently dangerous and can be strenuous. Please read and sign our liability form before participating 6. BRING YOUR OWN WATER!! Due to COVID-19, we will not be providing water or snacks at this event.
