www.craigbachman.com Job Description Logistics Associates must ensure that all purchase orders sent to our vendors are confirmed, produced, and shipped in a timely manner; orders are transported and consolidated to the appropriate locations on a cost effective basis; all invoices are fully reconciled; and documents for customs documentation and receiving are created with the highest degree of accuracy. The department develops and maintains good working relationships with other departments within the organization as well as customs brokers, freight carriers, customers, and our overseas agents and vendors. Duties and Responsibilities Import Shipping: Data entry of purchase orders, and communication with agents and vendorsRequest and process sales confirmations, vendor deposits, and invoicesRun shipping reports and verify that appropriate orders are consolidatedVerify shipment bookings and Vendor Importer Security Filing dataHelps prepare and process documents involved in customs clearanceCoordinate with brokers, carriers, and truckers to ensure timely deliveryPrepares inbound shipments and documents for warehouse check-inCoordinate the delivery of import shipments with warehouse staffCommunicate with vendors to resolve over, short, or damaged itemsOther duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred. The position requires proficiency with Microsoft office programs. Candidate must have a strong knowledge of Excel. Good math skills are also required. Excellent written/verbal communication skills: demonstrates good listening skills, ask questions, and keeps team members informed of progress on assigned duties. Well-developed interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a professional demeanor are a must. Independent and organized work style: can effectively manage time and prioritize work load, manage multiple tasks without close supervision, and consistently meet deadlines. Working Conditions This position is required to work both in the office and frequently in the warehouse in non-climate controlled conditions. Physical Requirements You must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period, and stand, walk, and occasionally lift boxes during quality control inspections. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Hourly position with normal working hours from 8am to 5 pm with a 1 hour lunch, Monday through Friday. You may be required to work overtime during peak seasons.
