The job you are applying for here at Mark Schroeder & Co., Inc., is a full-time job, M-F, 6:30am-3:00pm. We are looking for new employees that will be at work, every day, on-time because your crew will depend on you. This is not an easy job, it is labor intensive. You will learn a lot, with a lot of room to grow and advance. With no experience, the pay is minimum wage, however, if you show a willingness to learn and grow, increases will happen. Landscape Maintenance Worker - Comply with company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety regulations - Work under supervision of Foreman and Crew Lead - Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: - Cultivate lawns and gardens - water, mow, trim - Trim trees and other vegetation using shears, pruners, etc. - Mow, and edge lawns, using power tools - Install equipment to protect or support trees - Plant greenery to improve landscape appearance - Install hardscape, irrigation, lighting, drainage, plants and trees - Be willing to dig trenches for lighting, irrigation, drainage - Must be able to get to the office on time to meet crew - Crew hours are from 6:30am - 3:00pm M-F, with possible overtime - Experience a plus - Driver's license a plus - MUST be authorized to work in the USA - Ability to speak English a plus - Be willing to have a physical prior to employment Benefits include: • Six paid holidays each year • Accrued Vacation time • Paid sick leave after 90 days on the job We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in second chances, too.
