Harvest Mechanic / Lube Tech

We are looking for experienced Harvest Mechanics or Lube Techs depending on level of experience. This position will be based out of King City, CA during the spring and relocate to Yuma, AZ during the winter. Accommodations and daily per-diem pay is offered during the Yuma season. General duties include: • Diagnoses and repairs Company Harvest Machines and Equipment • Orders parts and supplies necessary to effect repairs, keeping accurate records of parts, fluids and supplies all indexed to the Company Equipment number. • Follows industry accepted methods for tear-down using accepted techniques to facilitate ease of reassembly. • Lubricate chassis, change oil and other fluids as necessary with the accompanying filter(s), clean and/or replace air filter(s), inspect Tractors and Heavy Equipment for necessary repairs, inspect and replace warning and head lights, check for proper tire inflation and wear. • Service brakes, repair axles and drivelines, perform engine tune-ups, check and repair wheel alignment and suspension components, troubleshoot electrical and wiring systems. • Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: • Walk, kneel, bend, lift and carry • Lift up to 75 pounds • Manipulate hand tools, i.e. sockets, wrenches, etc. • Perform repairs in hard to reach areas with contorted body positioning • Heavy pushing and pulling motions • Work well without being distracted This role requires a valid drivers license and must have an insurable driving record through company vehicle plan.
