Description

Scampers Daycamp for Dogs on 124th St in Kirkland is looking for Rock Solid Dog Wrangling staff. If you love dogs and think you can handle working with a great number of them in a pack environment, possess lots of positive energy, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team. If you're available right away, you can start right away. Although prior work experience in dog care - whether daycare or boarding, or veterinary support - will be an advantage, we welcome people of all backgrounds. We only ask that you treat the dogs with love and kindness, work hard and stay busy, and that you have a rock-solid work ethic. You will be a member of a team monitoring a group of dogs and maintaining a safe and clean play environment. We have openings for early morning and afternoon wranglers. Afternoon wranglers may also be asked to assist with our evening boarding work during our busy weeknights and weekends. Wranglers also participate in all the cleaning tasks - vacuuming, mopping, washing walls, etc. - and assisting with mealtimes. Some notes on working with us: - Remember that rock-solid work ethic we talked about? It's important! If you're on the schedule, it's because you are a crucial member of a carefully assembled team working to keep everyone (canines and humans) safe. - Absolute reliability is an absolute must - whether you commute by bus, car or Uber doesn't matter, but we need you to get to your shift, and on time! - Dog wrangling is a demanding job, both mentally and physically. You will be on your feet all day. There are moments of strenuous work between long periods of quiet, but you must be able to stay focused. You need to be prepared to run, but also have fun. At Scampers, we value our staff as the bedrock of our success. We offer competitive hourly compensation, optional Group Medical insurance after 90 days' employment for staff working greater than 30 hours per week, optional 401K program after 60 days' employment for staff working greater than 20 hours per week, and paid time off for staff who have worked with Scampers continuously for more than 1 year. If this sounds like a career you'd like to pursue, print and submit your application (link to the printable pdf: ), or send us your resume with a cover letter describing why you'd be a good fit for Scampers. Only short-listed applicants will be contacted.
