Apex is hiring Field Technicians! Important Qualifications: -Basic Electrical/Mechanical/IT Aptitude -Can operate tools/systems -“Geek Squad” like -Willingness to Learn -High Level Customer Service--Dealt with customers on 1v1 basis -Bit of Salesmanship/ Upselling ability -Patience – a lot of these customers are not technical enough to understand these systems/applications easily Education/Work Experience Required: -High School degree or equivalent mandatory. -Electronic Trade School training desired -1-2 years maintenance/installation or similar experience desired -Cabling / Low Voltage electricity work Misc. Requirements: -Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance -Reliable vehicle -Tools – 6 ft Ladder, battery powered power drill, standard hand tools (screw driver, wire stripper) -Comfortable with Attics/Crawl Spaces -Must be comfortable with the “technician schedule”—can be Tue – Sat and always starts at 8am but doesn’t have hard cut off at 4/5pm (go until job is done) -Dress Requirements: chino style pants – Khaki or Navy, work boots (don’t need to be steal toed) -Logoed Shirts/Car Magnets/PPE Provided Perks: -Weekly pay and optional health benefits -Apex provides certification training/preparation, as well as working exposure to develop your technical/IT skills FREE access to the Apex Systems training database for additional ad hoc training to further your career? -Mileage reimbursement -Cell phone reimbursement Three types of Roles: Service Technician -Most advanced skillset--requires prior industry experience -Servicing existing customers -Working with up to 6 different alarm panels and 4 CCTV systems -Longer training period even with prior experience Install Technician -Basic skillset -Installing new systems -Will be trained in one system -3-4 weeks of training 3G Radio Technician -Most basic skillset -Over 20k radios to be upgraded from 3G to LTE -Max of 10 days shadowing for training -Will receive field training for Install/Service while on the job – great role to learn the industry/panels
