Within this detail the applicant must be open to constant changes and alterations in listed work, hours of work and fluctuation in schedule. In addition to, the Maintenance/Grounds position is based on need and occupancy of the hotel therefore, 40 hours a week will be scheduled through the months of May to the end of October. November to end of April covering Head Maintenance 2 days off. The Maintenance/Grounds person reports directly to the Head of Maintenance. The associate must be able to fulfill the following requirements during their shift and must name any reasonable accommodation requests prior to the first day of work so as we the employer may meet the requests. • Lift upwards of 70lbs and carry for a distance • Climb a ladder to at least 3 stories • Can demonstrate common knowledge in both landscaping and simple building maintenance • Operate, with proper training, equipment such as a leaf blower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, pressure washer and use of simple hand tools/power tools • This job requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, crawling, and otherwise constant moving for the full duration of the shift • Associate must have a suitable mode of transportation to meet the scheduled time of the shifts they are given • Holiday Inn Express, Coeur d'Alene is a drug free workplace so associate may be required to submit to a drug test during any point of their employment with the company Below is a list of job tasks deemed necessary by management and again are subject to change or alteration at any given time. • Assist in both inside and outside maintenance of the building to include; o Covering maintenance shifts primarily on Head of Maintenance days off. o Testing and maintaining pool and spa water as well as equipment o Room Preventative Maintenance o Equipment Preventative Maintenance o Guest Maintenance Requests • Exterior landscaping tasks: o Planting, weeding, trimming and standard maintenance of rock gardens o General upkeep and repair of the irrigation system o Checking and emptying exterior trash cans and cleaning surrounding areas o Pressure washing, scrubbing and cleaning of building exterior and surrounding areas o Leaf blowing the parking lot and sweeping all curb areas o Painting, prepping and maintenance of all exterior areas In conclusion, our mission statement is "Impress Guests" so the Maintenance/Grounds person must be ready to come to work with a positive reinforcing attitude and strive to take care of not only our guests but other associates in the best manner possible.
