Furniture design company looking for Full-Time furniture maker. Shop duties include milling lumber, glue-ups, custom furniture builds and packaging products. 2+ years experience in a production shop is preferred. The Good Mod takes on a wide variety of projects from interiors and furniture to small exterior spaces. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team. We are seeking a cabinet maker/furniture maker for our workshop in NW Portland. Applicant needs experience creating furniture pieces, solid wood processing, veneer, and laminate work. Qualifications include: -Experience with wood working machinery required. -Effective communication -Work effectively in a team based environment with a positive attitude. -Commitment to quality work -Strong commitment to safety -Accurately read and follow instructions -Accurately read calipers and measuring tape -Knowledge of cabinet construction methods -Be detail oriented and have good decision-making skills -Be a motivated self-starter that can motivate others to excel -Stand and lift frequently (Up to 60lbs) Position is full time. M-F 7am to 4pm with overtime available Medical benefits after 4 months. Use of shop after hours after 4 months for personal projects. Learn more skills and techniques.
