Duties and Responsibilities: -Supervise all packaging operations -Maintain consistent excellent quality of packaged goods. -Evaluate performance of the operation and make improvements to procedures or work practices to elevate the quality of the packaged products. -Assist in planning and execution of required packaging with Production Manager to plan packaging schedules efficiently. -Maintain clean, sanitary and safe packaging operations. -Provide assistance with the training and development of SOPs and inventory system. -Maintain and verify inventory of packaging supplies. -Provide continuous process improvement of operations by enhancing existing procedures, developing new procedures, and making recommendations. -Complete and submit all required accurate written reports. -Maintain high attention to detail along with constant checks with packaging, labeling, brand presentation and assurance checks throughout the packaging department. -Monitor, assign, direct, and guide packaging employees and ensure proper Quality Control checks are being performed -Work with packaging staff to meet and maintain strict quotas -Maintain logs and labor hours for the day to ensure production standards are met by employees. -Quality Checks -Perform and monitor all aspects of Quality Control and packaging Maintain accuracy; stickers/labels on straight, clear to read, uncompromised. -Compliance; ensure METRC numbers match for appropriate batches and stickers and labels are compliant with OLCC required information present and clear to read -Speed; ensure packagers are working efficiently, and meeting required quotas -Train staff to ensure proper packaging techniques are being utilized for efficiency and speed -Maintain a steady flow of Production while keeping the team consistent and on task. -Assist the Production Manager and Inventory team as needed, to maintain high-quality standards. -Participate in the daily team cleaning of the production packaging floor -Meet daily, weekly and monthly team and personal quota goals -Perform team and individual tasks as assigned while maintaining an efficient production pace and speed. -Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company -Makes recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and training of packaging team. -Assist the Production Manager as needed. -Ensure a safe working environment. Review and communicate daily on all safety related topics of discussion. -Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Supervisory Responsibilities: Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees and assisting with planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Monitors time and attendance. Provides regular performance feedback and coaching to direct reports including reviews. Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree preferred Experience: At least 3 years of directly related experience and/or training in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably food or beverage packaging; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency preferably in a fast-paced work environment. Must have strong attention to detail. Must have at least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience. Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: OLCC Marijuana Worker’s Permit required. Food Handler’s Card a plus. Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written. Travel Requirements: occasional travel required to other Wyld locations, events, expos, supplier evaluations, and fellow manufacturing facilities. State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or over Compensation As a non-exempt employee, you'll receive $22.00/hr, overtime, Paid Holidays, PTO and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
