The best gun control is to keep guns away from criminals, not law abiding citizens. Law abiding citizens don't commit crimes. Make any gun crime punishable by life in prison. If someone commits a crime with a gun they are showing their disrespect for human life. It is not a question if they will kill someone but when. Criminals are picked up regularly with weapons, they have prior criminal records that forbids them from have a gun. Then they are turned loose because of our liberal justice system. Lock them away forever and problem solved. There has never been a criminal in prison who has ever committed another crime out side of prison. For those who say we don't have room to house all the criminals, I say build more prisons. When the number of criminals goes down we can use the prisons for social housing. I know it sounds harsh to you liberals, well harsh crimes require harsh methods. No need to be harsh and treat law abiding citizens like criminals. For those who say it costs too much to have people in prison, well what is the cost to victims and their families?
