This is Bodie, he is a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever/Irish Setter mix. We got him on Craigslist from a private, local family almost a year ago. We were unaware of his behavioral issues and we have been trying to make it work and fix them since then. While we have made tremendous progress, there’s only so much I can do. Bodie has severe anxiety and separation anxiety, which makes me not able to leave him alone. I have tried crate training and ended up with a broken crate as well as a torn up couch. I have some personal issues going on that makes me unable to continue care for Bodie. My boyfriend and I love him dearly, which made this a very difficult, long, drawn out discussion. After weeks of going back and forth we decided Bodie NEEDS someone with more time in their schedule, someone who is knowledgeable on how to help animals separation anxiety he also needs access to a yard. We are in no rush to get rid of him, we want him to go to the best home for him.
