Maintenance Worker Responsibilities:
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Basic repairs and maintenance including changing light bulbs, installing paper
dispenser units, changing filters, and changing locks on doors, etc.
• Diagnosing and correcting mechanical issues
• Maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing,
carpentry, painting and plastering, electrical repairs or installations, or machine
servicing
• Work on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC equipment
• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
• Painting, flooring repairs, and in the event of an emergency, he/she may be called
to support necessary tasks in association with that emergency
Requirements:
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually as well as collectively
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
• Disassemble machines and repair, maintain, or replace broken parts
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety & risk management
procedures
• Report any accidents or injuries to management in a timely manner
• Perform snow removal and other grounds keeping activities
• Strong time management and follow-up skills
• May be required to utilize basic cleaning and other chemicals
• May assist in training, assigning, and checking the work of lower-level
employees
• May be required to organize inventory equipment, parts, and supplies
• May perform other duties and responsibilities at other properties
