Hi, my name is Matthew and I'm looking to start a band. I've been playing heavy metal on my guitar for about 15 years. I'm pretty seasoned in the genre, I love all the classics, (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth etc.) but I enjoy pretty much all subgenres of metal including modern death metal. I love the culture, the mindset, and the independence of heavy metal music. I now have professional gear; I play a Jackson Soloist, hooked up through a Peavey 6505 combo that I route through my mac mini to record in my own little home studio. I spend most of my free time practicing scales, learning new songs, writing, and setting up my floyd rose tremelo. I'm a very dedicated and passionate musician who is truly in it to win it. By that, I mean all I want to do is play shows publicly eventually and express myself as an artist no matter how small or big, but I would rather not do it alone. I enjoy working with other people that can bring a new perspective into the craft and make something whole. If there are any drummers, bassists or vocalists out there that might be seriously interested, I would welcome it. I'm hoping to find someone out there that is as serious and passionate as I am, to create something meaningful. I look forward to starting a band that serves as an outlet for some of the struggles that most of us face every day.
