Description
Friday, 58 degree high, sunny. Saturday 65 degree high, partly cloudy. Perfect weather to build and fill raised beds for gardening. Will consider anyone available for 9 to 12 hours of work at $12/hr. Chiefly need someone Saturday for dirt moving, shoveling/raking loose soil from a pickup truck into wheelbarrow and then from wheelbarrow to raised beds. If you can move the wheelbarrow or a 2 wheeled garden cart filled with soil, that's even better. Though I can do the moving of the wheelbarrow, that's negotiable. Saturday work will be 6 to 8 hours, beginning at 9 am. I'll also provide lunch from a nearby restaurant (several choices exist: it's your call which). Other Saturday duties: - Dig (old) soft soil out of 4 very small beds, move it to the lawn, dump and spread with rake. - Mow small lawn. So small it can be done in 15 minutes. Other optional duties, depending on your availability and capabilities: - Using weed trimmer to trim lawn edges. - Cutting or pulling weeds in one flower bed, using hand pruners and trowel. But that's optional; your call too. ______________________________ Also optional: Friday work I'll be cutting wood and assembling a long narrow box for the new raised bed. I can do it alone but if you need the work, your assistance would include: - Lifting wood into place. Holding one end of the wood while I insert screws with a screwgun. - Raking a little gravel, no more than 1/2 hour for this. I anticipate this will take 4 or 5 hours Friday. Once again, if you wish to work longer Friday, we could start in with the dirt moving I planned for Saturday. Or mowing/weeding. Combined, I expect both days to take a minimum of 9 hours and a maximum of 12 hours. The length of time for one or both days is up to you. I'm flexible. I just need to know in advance so I can adjust my schedule. Shoveling, moving and raking loose soil is the basic help I need. I don't require heavy lifting nor a fast pace, nor exceptional skills. You can take breaks as needed. I seek someone reliable, trustworthy and good-natured. $12 an hour plus lunch on any day where we labor more than 4 hours. This is to provide tomatoes, peppers and more for two households. In the two weeks after this weekend, I have to do similar work for a friend in Springfield whose recent surgery limits them. So there could be additional work options in April, if you're interested. So let's talk. Phone is preferred though you can email instead. Much is negotiable but trust and good-natured is essential. I can also provide transportation if needed.
