We have an immediate need for entry level Utility Technician positions. **This is a contract position with the opportunity for full time employment based on needs and performance.** We are a growing Firm offering our employees on the job training, job related certifications, health benefits, overtime incentives and tons of potential for advancement. Description: Reports to the Division/Project Manager and Crew Chief. Is responsible for assisting Crew Chief in all aspects of the daily routine including setup and breakdown of trucks and equipment. The tech’s primary goal is to locate projected utilities using a variety of techniques including, GPR and electromagnetic technologies, air and water lancing, vacuum excavation and physical digging in a variety of land conditions. Requirements: -Must be willing to learn utility equipment and safety procedures. -Must also be able to perform physical labor (i.e. lift, squat, bend, scoop, stand/sit for extended periods of time). -Due to the nature of this position applicants must have the ability to conduct work with exposure to the environment elements. -Availability for night and weekend work is required. -Travel will be expected with nightly reimbursements. -Must hold a valid driver’s license. -No DUI’s. -Must be able to complete a drug test.
