A+ Rightway General Contractor has an immediate opening for a Foreman. Construction Foreman: Reporting to the Owner, the Foreman directs and manages all on-site install work, crew and equipment, enforcing the company’s direction, safety standards, and meeting job specific deadlines. The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable, honest, and comfortable interacting with customers. Must be able to lead a crew and perform work himself. Must be able to manage a job from start to finish and stay on schedule. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Foreman include, but are not limited to: * Lead and direct a crew of installers at site, equipment and resources at job sites. * Ensure sufficient deployment and productivity of work crew. * Engage in open communication with the Project Manager and report any issues which could affect the project timeline or plan. * Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, equipment and utilize corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget. * Plan work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner. * Ensure company equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained and used effectively. * Read and interpret project plans and specifications. * Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Ethics * Must examine situations in light of the principles of the code of Ethics, employee supervision. * Ensure all new hires receive the required training for the work they are performing. * Report employee attendance, ensuring the timely arrival and participation of all crew members. Notifying all crew of the expectations and further consequences. Position Requirements: Able to bend, kneel, stop, kneel, walk between 8-12 hours per day. Must be able to lift 80 pounds, transfer vertically items weighing up to 100 lbs. Must be able to climb hillsides. Stand or walk for long periods of time. Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects. Ability to stand, stoop, bend, sit, kneel, squat, for extended periods of time. Able to work in inclement weather. All candidates must meet the following: Be able to work independently and part of a team equally well. Must have experience working with hand tools and power tools, demolition, framing, insulation, drywall, carpentry, flooring, windows/doors, minor electrical/ plumbing. See well (naturally or with correction) eye-hand coordination good physical fitness, and a good sense of balance. Job site clean-up, moving material, sweeping, picking up debris, assisting the crew. Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Strong attention to detail. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to speak English. Good Attendance is required. Must be able to provide references. Must have a minimum of 3 years construction experience. PPE is a requirement: Safety Vest, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Steel Boots MUST be Reliable with your own transportation.
